Ogden
Basic Snow and Ice Climb
Ben Lomond towers over Ogden and it has a pyramdical shape. Its south face is somewhat avalanche swept. Climbing may take 2-3 days depending on how good of a climber you are. The weather can close in quite quickly but usually nothing to serious. An ice ax and crampons would be required, it is completely snowcapped in the winter. The rock on the mountain is made of shale so it is easily breakable, there is some parts that will have to have rock climbing but it wouldn't be to technical. This is just a fun mountain with a great view and you could ski down it to make it interesting if your looking for some extra fun. This is a great mountain for new climbers and is great for hiking in the summer and spring months.
