Capitol Peak is one of Colorado's hardest fourteeners to climb. The easiest route is over the famous Knife Edge with steep drop-offs on either side. The rock on the knife is solid, but the climb beyond is much looser and still somewhat exposed. The standard approach via the Capitol Creek Trail is very scenic with great views of Capitol Peak.
