Description
The closest peak to the highway (20 miles) of the Deborah-Hayes mountains. McGinnis has seen the most ascents of any of the Deborah-Hayes giants. The most popular route (popular means one or two attempts a year) is via the Northeast Ridge. The popular route is not easy, you should expect technical climbing, exposure and bad weather. Jeff Benowitz from Fairbanks has made the most ascents of this peak including the first winter ascent.
