Mount Skokomish is a massive mountain located in the southeast corner of Olympic National Park on the park boundary line. Its position in the eastern front of the range makes it visible on the Olympic skyline from as far away as Seattle. Mount Skokomish has three summits with the south peak being the highest. Mount Skokomish can be climbed in one day from the Putvin Trail from Hamma Hamma River Road, but there are nice campsites on the ridge above Lake of the Angels. The mountain is a lot of loose rock so the best time to climb is in the spring or early summer when still covered by snow.
