Plummer Mountain is located less than 2 miles west of Suiattle Pass deep within the Glacier Peak Wilderness. Plummer Mountain holds no climbing interest, but does offer an unobstructed panoramic view of some of the great peaks in the area which are otherwise rarely seen, such as Glacier Peak, Bonanza Peak, Fortress Mountain, Dome Peak, and the entire Entiat Range including Copper, Fernow, Seven Fingered Jack, and Maude. Plummer is the eastern culmination of Miner's Ridge and the rock is brown gneiss. The standard routes involve a long 2 day trail approach from the west along Miner's Ridge, or an even longer cross-country scramble from Suiattle Pass from the east. There are pleasant but popular camp sites at Image Lake to the west of the peak, or more secluded camping at a lake east of the peak. At this lake below the peak to the east, there are old rusting mining relics.
