  To climb Mount Azhdahak, there are many routes, each one unique from the other. Some of these routes can take 1 day others can take 5 days or more. Along the way the hiker will see places of scenic beauty as well as ancient buildings.

  Here are some of the routes:

  Rout 1: Sevaberd village – Lake Akna – Mount. Azhdahak – Sevaberd village
  Season: June-October
  Duration: 2 days
  Distances:
  Sevaberd village – Lake Akna: 12km
  Lake Akna – Mount. Azhdahak: 8km
  Mount. Azhdahak – Sevaberd village: 15km
  Total route length: 35km

  Rout 2: Sevaberd village – lake Akna – Mount. Azhdahak(3597м) – Mount. Nazeli(3312м) – Mount. Spitakasar(3555м) – Yeranos village
  Season: June-October
  Duration: 3 days
  Distances:
  Sevaberd village – Lake Akna: 12km
  Lake Akna – Mount. Azhdahak: 8km
  Mount. Azhdahak – Mount. Nazeli– Mount Spitakasar: 11km
  Mount. Spitakasar – Yeranos village: 16km
  Total route length: 47km

  Rout 3: Sevaberd village – Lake Akna – Mount. Azhdahak(3597м) – Lake Vank - Goght village
  Season: June-October
  Duration: 3 days
  Distances:
  Sevaberd village – Lake Akna: 12km

  Mount. Azhdahak – Lake Vank: 11km
  Lake Vank - Goght village: 14km
  Total route length: 45km

  Rout 4: Tsakhkashen village – Lake Akna – Mount. Azhdahak(3597м) – Lake Vank - Kaqavaberd fortress(through Khosrov State Reserve) – Garni village
  Season: June-October
  Duration: 5 days
  Distances:
  Tsakhkashen village – Lake Akna: 14km
  Lake Akna – Mount. Azhdahak: 8km
  Mount. Azhdahak – Lake Vank: 11km
  Lake Vank - Kaqavaberd fortress: 13km
  Kaqavaberd fortress – Garni village: 18km
  Total route length: 64km

  Rout 5: Geghard village – Mount. Azhdahak(3597м) – Lake Akna – Sevaberd village
  Season: June-October
  Duration: 2 days
  Distances:
  Geghard village – Mount. Azhdahak: 18km
  Mount. Azhdahak – Lake Akna: 8km
  Lake Akna – Sevaberd village: 12km
  Total route length: 38km

  Durations of each route are based on a typical physically well-prepared group and good weather conditions. Тhereafter, it could be 1 - 2 days longer.
  The above mentioned routes are a select 5 of all possible route combinations. It is possible to climb Mount Azhdahak by a number of various route combinations of approaches and descents.
