Cader Idris Climbing Notes
rob B from UNITED KINGDOM writes:
Cadair Idris is well worth the effort as it has dramatic scenery, good views (when it is clear) and good paths. It also has plenty to challenge you if the weather is bad, so do not think it is any less serious than Snowdon. It is a poor man's equivalent only because it is 500 foot lower.
[Editor comments: Before the advent of topographical surveys, Cadair Idris (Arthur's Seat) was widely held to be the highest mountain in England and Wales. It certainly presents an impressive prospect when viewed from the estuary to the north]
