Deoria Tal is very gorgeous lake from where you can have a view of many lofty Himalayan peak including Chaukhambha.
How to reach:
The nearest railways station is Rishikesh. You can also have bus and taxi services to reach Rishikesh. Take bus or taxi for Ukhimath. If you are on public transport, take bus up to Rudrayapryag >> Agustmuni >> Ukhimath >> Saari Village. If you are lucky you can get direct transport also...however, public transport are rarely available after 4 o'clock in these parts of Himalaya and you need to hire taxi or stay in hotels. From Uhimath the last bus to Saari is at approx. 4 O'clock.
Accomodation is not an issue at all.
In Saari village, there are lots of hotels. You can take one near the starting point of trek. Chandrashila peak is visible from Saari village.
Start you trek in morning. It will take max. two hours to reach at a modest speed. The trek is almost continuously inclined so an average speed is recommended. Carry water bottle as you may not find many shops on the way. However, at the top, there are couple of shops who can also offer lunch if ordered. If you are not planning to camp, carry a day pack.
Hope this information helps.
