Gavin Raubenheimer. Peak High Mountaineering from South Africa
Giant's Castle summit is accessible via Giant's Castle Pass and is a tough hike usually taking 2 days round trip. The south side is home to the best water-ice climbing in southern Africa. The north face has some good rock routes on, including Schole's Route (7 pitch moderate) and Sherman's Route, an easy 2 pitch route.
