Gun hill is a distinctive peak in the southern end of the Peak District with a noticable area of moorland along the plateau. The peak is often overlooked by its neigbouring peaks of the Roaches, Hen Cloud and Ramshaw rocks however it still boasts unspoilt scenery and some fantastic hill walking. The peak overshadows and nestles above the town of Leek in the Staffordshire Moorlands which is an ideal base whilst visting the Peak District national Park.
