Reinhard Messer from Italy
This mountain should only be attempted by the most experienced climbers.
Extensive preparation of base camp will be necessary as well as proper preparation of gear. Experience of rock climbing with and without crampons and rope connections will be necessary. Ascent is slow and difficult and may require several intermediate camps for further acclimatization. Because of the extreme altitude (178m), some climbers may experience altitude sickness. Oxygen support may be required.
Due to the length and difficulty of the climb, it is advised to hire a mountain guide (available in the city of Silkeborg).
