Six of us climbed and traversed Monte Pisanino in September 2011. Please note that Monte Pisanino is in the Apuane mountain range not the Apennines. These mountains are limestone and marble and are similar to the dolomites - except that they are on the Mediterranean coast - simply stunning.
There's lots of useful information and photos on the walking & climbing pages of the website of the villa we used as our base . Try a Google search using "tuscany villa climb pisanino". The top 2 or 3 results will relate to a "tuscany-villa-holiday website in the UK".
Enjoy Pisanino - it's a wonderful climb/walk.
