It is recommended to stay at nearby Kpalime. Climbing Mt. Agou is a 2-3 hour hike (going leisurely) that goes through 3 well ordered and clean villages, full of friendly people, lush forests and farmers fields, with 1 waterfall. The path is mildly sloped and not at all rocky, as it is heavily used by locals. There are pretty good views throughout. At the summit is a radio/ TV station that you might be able to get a tour of and a place to hang glide. You might be asked for your papers. The view is stunning and the weather cooler then 3000 feet below.
