As you're coming into the town of Warburton, turn left at the first bridge, then turn right onto Dammans Road, then first left on to Martyr Road. Drive to the top of this road and park next to the golf course at the intersection of Wellington road.
The first 3.5kms of this walk is very steep, and very slippery in the wet. Not to many chances of good views along the first half; however, the trail itself is quite lovely to walk on.
The second half is approximately another 3.5kms, passing through Mount Victoria. You will see a communications tower however there is no signage stating you have reached Mount Victoria. The walk from here to Donna Buang is relatively flat, passing through some excellent bracken ferns encroaching over the trail - making the path look almost overgrown.
Approximately 800 metres from the peak of Donna Buang you will come across an intersecting path. Turn right (there are some signs to follow) to continue to the peak. You will be rewarded with a lookout tower that, on a clear day, allows for some amazing views.
Have fun! And remember, it gets very slippery on the way down so stay surefooted!
