We had a great hike with 11 people, most from Mesa, AZ. Ages 40s to 81. We met a couple 11 year olds on the top. We headed up at 5:15 and Summited at 9:35. No trail issues.

Don't allow anyone to convince you that snow shoes aren't needed! I was on the south trail 1/2/16. Snow shoes are an absolute must for the traction, not so much for the post-holing.
