MtLofty is a great walk, taking about one to one and half hours to walk from Waterfall Gully to the summit.
Parking at the base is full every Saturday and Sunday mornings.
There are side tracks once past the second falls which give options to the walk with amazing views. The walk is 3.8kms long but it is steep. On warm or hot day make sure you have water.
Bird life is fantastic, cockatoos can always be seen, in spring summer the flock is approx 100birds. Black cockys are seen as well as lots blue wrens and smaller parrots.
Within 500m from summit there are Kangaroos which are common. Early morning walks I always see a Kangaroo next to the path. Koalas are seen also.
The views are sensational. The path has been upgraded all the way.
If your looking for a walk with nature and views of Adelaide with beautiful coffee available at bottom and top well its a must.
