Mount Maria Climbing Notes
Paul Hitchcock from UNITED KINGDOM writes:
A good mountain walk via freezer rocks to the summit where there are radio masts and cabins. Easy access from Port Howard and the road from the port heads past the vehicle dump giving you access to the mountainside. A minefield from the 1982 war is marked out to your right but there is no need to stray into this area. The freezer rocks are a magnificent outcrop, well worth investigating. From the summit there are wonderful views across the Falkland Sound to East Falkland.
Please seek permission from the landowner before taking this walk.
