Mount Albert Edward (British Columbia) Climbing Notes
Andrew Inglis from CANADA writes:
Mount Albert Edward is best done in a two day trip yet can be done in a day trip.
very generously the trail head is right on Strathacona park, where you'll find at the ravens lodge parking lot on Mount Washington Alpine Resort. On the way to Circlet lake, where you should be camping if you plan on summiting, you'll run into multiple lakes and beautiful meadows. Once you arrive at Circlet Lake, you'll find tent platforms, a biffy and a bear cash, if there's no spots available, i suggest setting up in the day use area by the creek. The summit is absolutely beautiful and roughly 6 kms of ascent from Circlet, Albert Edward is the 6th tallest peak on Vancouver island.
Keep in mind
-Fires are prohibited in Strathacona Provincial park so be sure to bring a stove and fuel (obviously)
-The trail is well marked out
-it rains, a lot here
